RNLI and Broadstairs SLSC Co-host SLSGB beach lifeguard course

The RNLI and Broadstairs Surf Lifesaving Club will be running a Surf Life Saving GB (SLSGB) Beach Lifeguard Award, which will take place between 5 and 12 April. 

To attend the SLSGB beach lifeguard course you must be able to:

• Swim 400m in a forward facing stroke in 7 minutes and 30 seconds or less
• Run 200m on sand in 40 seconds or less
• And be at least 16 years old from the first day of the course 

The cost of the course is £120 which will cover tuition, the assessment fee, manual, use of equipment, wetsuit and pool hire and one year’s membership to Broadstairs Surf Lifesaving Club.
